iRobot Roomba Max 705 Combo

iRobot renumbered its entire Roomba range in 2026, and the Max 705 Combo sits at the top of it, above the mid-tier Plus models and the entry-level Vac line. The dual rubber brushes are the part worth noting: instead of bristles that hair wraps around, two rubber rollers counter-rotate and squeeze debris toward the suction path, which is the same idea iRobot has refined since the s-series and it still handles long hair and shedding dogs better than most bristle-brush competitors.
The PowerSpin roller mop adds real scrubbing rather than a damp pad dragged across the floor, and the AutoWash dock rinses the roller with clean water after each run so it isn't reapplying dirty water on the next pass. Running costs land in AutoWash cleaning solution and the odd brush replacement. It fits a home with mixed hard floors and pets that wants iRobot's mapping and app polish, which has always been a strength, without hunting down a discontinued j-series model that's being phased out of stores.
