iRobot Roomba Plus 405 Combo

The Plus 405 Combo is where iRobot's 2026 lineup starts adding real mapping precision: LiDAR replaces the simpler navigation of the 205 tier, which means more consistent room boundaries and better multi-room scheduling. It still combines vacuuming and mopping in one robot, using the same combo mop hardware iRobot carries across its Plus and Max tiers.
Suction sits below the Max series but comfortably ahead of the entry-level Vac and Combo models, which makes it a reasonable middle ground for a home with a mix of hard floors and low to medium pile carpet. Upkeep runs to mop pad washing solution and periodic filter and brush replacement, cheaper than the Max tier's AutoWash consumables. It's the pick for someone who wants iRobot's app and mapping quality without paying for the dual rubber brush and top suction of the Max 705.
