Kärcher RCV 5

Kärcher's RCV 5 combines three navigation systems (LiDAR, dual laser, and 3D camera) to create a comprehensive understanding of room layout and floor obstacles. The multiple sensors work together to identify true obstacles versus shadows or reflections, reducing navigation errors. When it detects carpet, the motor automatically ramps up suction while lowering it on hard floors to balance power and energy efficiency.

This is ideal for homes with complex layouts, varied lighting conditions, and mixed floor types. The multi-sensor approach is overkill for simple layouts but valuable in challenging spaces with furniture shadows and reflective surfaces that confuse single-system robots. At 5,000 Pa, it doesn't compete on raw power with the 8,000+ Pa models, but the intelligent suction adjustment makes it efficient across different surfaces without requiring separate settings or app intervention.
