Who AENO is
AENO describes itself as "a global brand of smart home appliances that offers top level of product quality, customer service and design in 32 countries." Its European site runs in English, German, Polish, Romanian, Greek, Bosnian and a string of other languages, and robot vacuums are one line among many: space heaters, kitchen robots, sous vide cookers, air purifiers, hair dryers, electric toothbrushes and steam mops all sit under the same AENO name. The cleaning category carries the line "Live life and let the technology do the hard work", which is a fair summary of how the brand pitches its robots.
The About page is candid about how AENO competes. It says the brand prioritizes product quality, technology and customer service "over extra advertising budgets to promote the brand name", and that this keeps prices within reach. The same page notes a Red Dot Product Design Award in 2023, though that award went to the AENO Premium Eco Smart Heater, not a vacuum.
The robot vacuum range
AENO's site lists three robot vacuums, the RC1S, RC3S and RC7S. All three vacuum and mop, all three use LiDAR mapping, and all three run from the AENO app. What separates them is the dock, the battery, the area each can cover and how the dust and water are stored.
AENO RC3S. The compact wet-and-dry model, weighing 2.7 kg. It has 2500 Pa of suction in Turbo mode, a 3000 mAh battery rated for up to 130 minutes of cleaning, and a 5 hour charge time. AENO rates it for up to 150 m² on a full charge. Its selling point is mopping: a 350 ml water tank that AENO says covers up to 150 m² of wet cleaning without a refill, and three electronic water-flow modes so parquet gets less water than tile. It uses a separate 600 ml dust container, LiDAR plus 15 pairs of sensors, a HEPA 12 filter and what AENO calls a "Reliable Japanese Nidec motor". It climbs steps up to 18 mm.
AENO RC7S. The long-runtime model. It raises the suction figure to 4000 Pa and gives you four suction levels (Eco, medium, high and turbo), plus carpet detection that raises suction automatically on rugs. A 5200 mAh battery runs for up to 250 minutes and charges in 4.5 hours, and AENO rates it for up to 300 m² on a full charge. Instead of separate tanks it uses a 2-in-1 tank holding 300 ml of water and 300 ml of dust, which is how it vacuums and mops "in one go". It has 20 sensors with LiDAR, clears thresholds up to 20 mm and has a body of glass and ABS plastic.
AENO RC1S. The one with the station. The RC1S ships with an automatic cleaning and charging station, an auto dust collector that empties the robot into bags. AENO says one bag holds up to 40 cleanings and that the robot can keep the floors clean "without service for up to 2 months", and five dust bags come in the box. The robot itself has 4000 Pa of suction in Turbo mode, a 5200 mAh battery, a 220 minute runtime in the spec table and coverage up to 250 m². It uses 21 sensors plus LiDAR, a 600 ml dust container and a 370 ml water tank with the same three water-flow settings. It also adds two things the others do not list: a remote control, so children or older users can run it without a phone, and a UV lamp under the body, which AENO says "additionally kills bacteria, mold and fungus". Its page lists 9.8 cm beside a note on cleaning under dressers and beds, and says it climbs steps up to 20 mm.
The steps are easy to read. The RC3S is the compact mopper for a flat. The RC7S buys runtime and area for a bigger single floor. The RC1S buys weeks of hands-off emptying through its station. AENO's home page sums up the category with "Up to 150 m² of cleaning", but the RC7S and RC1S spec tables go well beyond that.
The AENO app and controls
All three robots run from the AENO app, which is shared with the brand's heaters, kitchen robots and other connected devices. Through it you set a cleaning schedule ("Create your own scenarios by adjusting the frequency of cleaning and the time of day"), choose the cleaning mode, draw virtual walls to keep the robot to one area or one room, and check the battery level while you are away. The RC1S and RC3S offer Turbo, Single room and Spot modes, and AENO's own examples are practical ones: Turbo for pet hair on a carpet, Spot for spilled grain, Single room for a child's room that needs a daily clean.
Voice control works with Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa on all three models. Noise is rated at up to 65 dB for the RC1S and RC3S and up to 68 dB for the RC7S.
Consumables and accessories
Every model ships with spares. The RC1S box has a remote, four side brushes, two fabric mops, two HEPA 12 filters and a pre-filter, and the five dust bags. The RC3S includes two HEPA 12 filters, two fabric mops and four side brushes. The RC7S includes two fabric mops, two side brushes and two HEPA filters. AENO also runs a vacuum cleaner accessories section and states on the RC7S page that side brushes, main brushes, HEPA H12 filters and floor mops "are always available". The RC1S is the only model that needs dust bags, which is the ongoing cost of its station.
Warranty and service
AENO publishes its warranty in full. In Europe, the United Kingdom and Serbia, the end-user warranty is 24 months from the date of purchase, unless local law sets another period, and the RC1S, RC3S and RC7S product pages each list 24 months. In the United States it is 12 months. The warranty covers parts and labor to restore the product. Robot vacuums are not on AENO's list of products replaced outright, so they are repaired through AENO's authorized service centers: you fill in the "Send device for service" form on the website. The About page adds a free pick-up warranty service, "valid in 20 European countries".
The exclusions are the usual ones and worth knowing: vacuum cleaner filters, bags, brushes with worn bristles, cleaning rags and batteries are wear parts and fall outside the device warranty. For support, AENO points owners to its FAQ first, then to a contact form and e-mail, and the About page promises "quick reply in 4 communication channels, and response time less than 5 minutes."
Where to buy, and the downsides
AENO does not sell from its own product pages and shows no prices there. Each product links to a "Where to Buy" list of retailers per country, so the price you pay depends on the shop. That makes comparison shopping more work than with brands that list a price. The other caveat is scale: three models is a small range, and none of the three product pages lists a station that washes the mops, so the mop pads still need rinsing by hand.
Who AENO suits
AENO suits a buyer in Europe who wants a LiDAR robot that also mops, bought from a local retailer, with a two-year warranty and pick-up service behind it. The RC3S fits a small flat with hard floors. The RC7S fits a larger single-level home where a long run on one charge matters more than a dock. The RC1S fits anyone who wants to stop emptying the bin for weeks at a time, or a household where a child or grandparent will use the remote. A buyer who wants a station that also washes and dries the mops will not find one in this range.
