Carpet and Deep Cleaning
Hard floors forgive a weak robot. Carpet does not. Fibers hold grit and hair down near the backing, and a vacuum has to agitate the pile and pull hard to lift it out. The brands here make carpet a stated focus. Air-Robo builds in carpet detection, Gutrend raises suction automatically on rugs, ILIFE sells its A11 for carpet cleaning, and Narwal says its Freo Z10 Turbo deep cleans even on carpets. A robot that detects carpet and adjusts on its own does better than one that runs a single setting everywhere. Ask how it copes with thick or shag rugs and tassels, and whether the mop lifts or has to come off so the carpet stays dry.
