Imou is a smart home brand built on security cameras, and its robot vacuums sit in a catalog led by indoor, outdoor, battery and PoE cameras, video doorbells and door viewers, smart locks, sensors, sirens, plugs, a smart pet feeder and a radiator thermostat. The contact page names the company behind it as Hangzhou Huacheng Network Technology Co., Ltd., with its address in Hangzhou's Binjiang District, and the German version of the page adds a European entity, Imou Network Technology B.V., in Rijswijk, the Netherlands. The copyright line runs "2014 - 2026." The home page sums up the pitch in one line: "Imou blends into every scene, bringing you safety and ease without extra effort." Robots are one of the seven product categories in the menu, under the name Imou Robots.
The robot range
The Imou Robots page lists two series. The RV1 Series covers the RV1 Pro Max, RV1L Pro, RV1L and the RV1C, which is marked EOL (end of life). The RV3 Series holds the RV3 Ultra. An older RV2 is also marked EOL, and the support pages still carry setup guides for the RV1C and the RV-L11-A, and support entries for the RV1 Pro Max, RV1 Pro and RV2. The US product page recommends an L11 Pro Max next to the RV3 Ultra and RV1L.
At the top of the range, the home page describes the "All-in-One Vacuum Cleaner (RV3)" as "Vacuuming & Mopping 2 in 1 | All-in-one Station | 8500Pa Suction Power." The RV3 Ultra also appears on the German product page.
The model Imou documents in most detail is the RV-L11-A, a vacuum and mop with a self-emptying base.
The RV-L11-A in detail
Imou sells the RV-L11-A on the promise of "Hands-free Cleaning with Auto Dirt Disposal Base." Its product page says the base gives "30-days hands-free cleaning, with a self-empty station where it disposes dust automatically."
Navigation is LiDAR. The page says the "mapping camera spins 6 times per second and measures the distance to 2,016 different points in the room to build a map," and lists a measuring range of 26 feet, a sampling rate of 2,016 samples per second and a scanning frequency of 6 rotations per second. From that map the robot "automatically utilises smart algorithms to create the most efficient paths," and the app lets owners schedule cleaning plans for each zone or let it roam free.
Cleaning hardware is modest and practical. Suction is given as 2700pa, working with a V-shape brushroll, and an Automatic Carpet Boost "auto increases suction power to max on carpets." The robot carries a 300ml Dust Bin and a 250ml Water Tank with a mop cloth holder, so it vacuums and mops in one pass. The water tank is electronically controlled, and the page suggests low water in the bedroom, medium in the living room and high in the kitchen, each set from the app. A multichannel sensor system handles obstacle avoidance, the robot crosses 20mm thresholds and, per the page, glides under furniture, and when the battery runs low it drives back to charge and "picks back up right where it left off."
The Imou Life app and Imou Protect
Imou's devices are managed in the Imou Life app, which also carries live chat support "for immediate support," according to the support page. The support site also offers a PC client and the Imou Configtool for download. The home page promotes the Imou technologies behind the range as Imou Sense, Imou Cloud and Imou Core Tech.
Imou sells an optional plan called Imou Protect, which bundles cloud storage with enhanced AI detection, device sharing with more users, security reports, remote SD card downloads and a device health guard. The support FAQ is clear that it is optional: Imou Protect "does not affect the use of Imou devices without a subscription." For a robot owner, the practical point is that the vacuum works fully without it.
Manuals, support and markets
The RV-L11-A manual is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Italian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Turkish and Vietnamese, with separate Japanese and Korean manuals for the RV-L11-A(JP) and RV-L11-A(KR). That spread matches the support network. The contact page lists phone lines across Asia Pacific (including Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, India, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Malaysia and Pakistan), the Americas (including Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Peru), Europe (the UK, Poland, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Romania and Germany), the Middle East and North Africa (the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Egypt) and South Africa, each with its own hours and languages. Technical support by email goes to service.global@imou.com, and Germany has a separate partner address for resellers.
Imou also runs its own online stores. The French store sells a robot vacuum category ("Robot aspirateur") alongside cameras, doorbells, radiator valves and Imou Protect plans, lists camera prices from €35,99 upward, and publishes shipping and returns and warranty policies. The global site links a Warranty Policy page and a price list, and the store's tagline says the brand is "Approuvé par des millions de personnes" (trusted by millions of people).
The wider home
For a buyer already running Imou cameras, the robot slots into a home that can include the Ranger and Cruiser camera families, the A1 Pro indoor camera, the Cell battery cameras, doorbells, the ZG2 gateway with "16-Way Sub-Device Access," the TRV1 smart thermostat, a smoke sensor and the PF1 smart pet feeder with its "360° Panoramic View." The home page groups these into scenarios such as kids and pets care, elderly care, and entrance, yard, farm and shop security. The robot is one more device in the same app.
Who it suits
The RV-L11-A suits a small to medium home with mostly hard floors and a few rugs, owned by someone who wants LiDAR mapping, a light mop and a base the brand rates for 30 days of hands-free cleaning. The RV3 Ultra is the model to look at for more suction and a full all-in-one station. Both make most sense for households already using Imou cameras or the Imou Life app, and for buyers in one of the many countries where Imou runs a local support line. Buyers should expect a camera company's robot range: a handful of models, clear core features, and the app and support network doing much of the work.
