SwitchBot sells itself as "Your Simple Switch to a Smart Home," and most of its catalog is retrofit hardware that makes an existing home smart without rewiring: the Bot button pusher, Curtain 3 and blind robots, the Lock Ultra and Lock Pro retrofit smart locks, hubs, sensors, cameras, lights, fans and air purifiers. Robot vacuums sit in that catalog as "Household Robots," and they share the same SwitchBot app and the same hubs. The brand runs regional stores for the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan, plus an international store, and it leans heavily on Matter: hubs, curtain robots and remotes are sold as "Matter Combo" bundles, and the menus carry a "Works with Matter" section.

The robot range

SwitchBot's robots fall into a compact K series and a larger S series. The US store lists the K11+ Pro, K11+, K10+ Pro, K10+ Pro Combo, K20+ Pro, S10 and S20.

K11+ and K11+ Pro. The EU home page calls the K11+ "The world's smallest robot vacuum, smaller and more powerful," and the Japanese store describes the K11+ Pro as 世界最小級でクラス最強の吸引力 (among the world's smallest, with the strongest suction in its class). These are the brand's claims. They are the robots for tight apartments, low furniture and narrow hallways.

K10+ Pro Combo. This bundle pairs a K10+ Pro robot with a cordless stick vacuum and a shared FusionBase station, listed at $799.99 on the US store. SwitchBot says the station "occupies the space of an A4 sheet," has a 3L bag and needs emptying "only once every 70 days." The robot uses what the brand calls SilenTech design to keep noise low enough for nighttime cleaning. The cordless vacuum in the set is rated at 20,000Pa with a 5-level filtration system and comes with disposable wet wipes for light mopping. With a Hub 2 (sold separately), the K10+ Pro can be controlled through Apple Home via Matter.

K20+ Pro. SwitchBot calls this a multitasking household robot, listed at €599.99 on the EU store. It uses LiDAR with 3D obstacle detection, has a camera head for checking on pets through the app, and is built on a modular platform: a Mobile Base and ClawLock system let it carry accessories. The EU store sells it as a base unit or in kits (Air Flow, Patrol, Air Purifier, Adjustable Device Stand and Omni Ultimate), and the Japanese store says it can link with an air purifier so "掃除も空気も快適に" (cleaning and air, both comfortable). The box includes an Auto-Empty Station, a mopping kit and edge-sweeping brushes.

S10. The S10 is what the brand calls "The most automated floor cleaning robot," listed at €1,099.99 on the EU store under the title "100% Automated Vacuum & Mop." It uses two stations. The Auto-fill & Drain Water Station connects to household plumbing, so the robot refills clean water and discharges dirty water without anyone touching a tank, and it needs no power cable. The Auto-Empty & Dry Station collects dust and dries the mop with hot air; the description gives "up to 70 days" of dust collection, while the lower part of the page says "up to 90 days." Mopping is done by a RevoRoll roller mop that the RinseSync system cleans "300 times per minute" while the robot moves, and suction is 6500Pa, with the mop lifting on carpet. The S10 page says the robot was the "Most-funded robot vacuum on Kickstarter," raising "over $1,270,000," and lists Best of IFA 2023 picks from TechRadar, Android Authority and others. It works on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, which the FAQ says was chosen for stability.

S20. The S20 is sold in Japan with the line 最強の清掃力で「手間ゼロ」へ (strongest cleaning power, toward zero effort). It appears on the US, EU and international stores as well.

Japan also still lists the older S1 and S1 Plus W, whose station offers 70日間 ゴミ自動収集 (70 days of automatic dust collection).

App, hubs and voice

Every robot runs in the SwitchBot app, where owners set schedules, virtual walls and room edits; the S10 FAQ, for example, walks through merging rooms in the app. The S10 works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri, and the K20+ Pro lists Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts. The practical appeal is the rest of the catalog: the same app runs SwitchBot curtains, locks, sensors and hubs, and the Matter-enabled Hub 2 brings the robots into Apple Home and other platforms. Japan's help pages also list Home Assistant certification.

Parts and consumables

SwitchBot sells S Series consumables directly. On the EU store, the S Series Replacement Kit for 1 year use costs €109.99 and contains 2 side brushes, a main brush, 4 dustbin filters, 2 roller mops, waste water parts and a 5-pack of dust bags. An S Series External Water Tank, for homes where plumbing the water station is not an option, costs €89.99, and S Series Cleaning Solution costs €32.99. For the K series, a K Series Cordless Vacuum is sold separately at €149.99, and K20+ Pro accessories such as an adjustable device stand (€34.99) and a conversion bracket (€32.99) are listed on its page.

Warranty, returns and support

Cover depends on the region. The EU store says the S10 and K20+ Pro are covered by a 2-year warranty, that "Official local repair points are available in the EU," and it lists telephone customer service and devices designed for EU 230V power. The US store's K10+ Pro Combo page says "All our products come with a 1-year warranty." Both stores promise a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee, free shipping and "Lifetime Customer Support," with local warehouse delivery. The app's Help & Feedback section is the route for support questions. Japan offers a 30-day exchange and return service, free shipping on orders of 2000円 or more, certified refurbished robots with a 100-day guarantee, and a trade-in program for old vacuums.

Who it suits

SwitchBot suits a household that already uses SwitchBot curtains, locks or hubs, or wants one app and Matter support across the home. The K11+ fits small apartments and low furniture, the K10+ Pro Combo covers floors and furniture with one shared station, and the K20+ Pro is for buyers who want a robot that also watches pets and carries accessories. The S10 is the pick for anyone willing to connect a robot to a water supply and drain in exchange for mopping without touching a tank. EU buyers get the longer warranty and local repair points, which makes the European store the stronger place to buy.
