A robot brand that started with a bot named Bob
bObsweep is a robot vacuum brand whose story, as its About page tells it, "all started with a bot named Bob. Bob lives and works with humans...so we gave him a human name!" That first machine, the Bob Standard, sits at 2011 on the brand's own model timeline, and bObsweep has kept releasing robots ever since, with a strong lean toward homes with pets. The store prices its coverage plans in US and Canadian dollars, and its newest eco model, Bio, is described as "engineered in the US and Canada."
What bObsweep is known for is less a single technology than a relationship. It treats its robots as members of the household ("Our bots are more than just gadgets," the About page says, they are family), sends them out with what it calls a handwritten birth certificate and notes from "your bObsweep doctor," and promises to keep supporting a bot long after the warranty runs out.
The range today
The models page lists nine current robots: Maxim Pet, Maxim, UltraVision Pet Combo, UltraVision Pet, UltraVision, Dustin Combo, Dustin Plus, Dustin and Bio. The shop sorts them into All-In-One, Combo and Self-Empty bots, plus a Limited Edition section, and a short quiz helps a buyer narrow the choice. The About page says each product is "specially designed to meet the unique needs of their owners," and frames the choice around cat people and dog people, high-maintenance and low-maintenance owners, and those who like to live large or live cozy.
Dustin, the low-maintenance line. Dustin arrived in 2023, with Dustin Plus and Dustin Combo following in 2025. The home page pitches the family as "More Power. Less Effort." and calls Dustin "The Low Maintenance Dust Hound." The Combo name marks the models that mop as well as vacuum.
UltraVision, the middle of the range. UltraVision dates from 2024, UltraVision Pet from 2025 and UltraVision Pet Combo from 2026. The home page gives each its own line: UltraVision is "Large and in Charge. The Bot with True Grit.", UltraVision Pet is "Sleek. Strong. Stylish." and the Pet Combo is "Tough on Fur. Gentle on Floors."
Maxim, the newest flagships. Maxim and Maxim Pet both carry 2026 on the timeline, making them the latest machines in the lineup.
Bio, the sustainable choice. Bio (2025) is the model the brand writes about most. The models page says it is "Inspired by nature and engineered in the US and Canada," calls it "the perfect fusion of advanced technology and eco-conscious design," and explains that it is "Made from bio-balanced plastic" that "delivers the same durability and strength as traditional ABS," with the twist of "Using ingredients derived from renewable natural sources." It is aimed at a buyer who wants a robot vacuum with a lighter material footprint.
Across the range, the models page lists the features a buyer can compare: mop, vacuum, self-empty, a tangle-free main brush, object detection, an auto-wash dock and an auto-dry dock, plus three of the brand's own named technologies, FloorSense™, DualSpin™ and EdgeReach™. A compare tool lines up the specs of every model side by side.
The model timeline
The About page lays out the brand's model timeline, which is useful context for anyone buying a secondhand bObsweep or wondering how long the company has been at this. After the Bob Standard (2011) came Bob PetHair (2013), bObi Classic (2014), bObi Pet (2015), Bob PetHair Plus (2016), Bob Pro (2018), Bob PetHair Vision (2019), Bob PetHair Vision Plus (2021), Bob PetHair SLAM (2022), Bob PetHair Appetite (2023) and the Orb-i (2024). The PetHair name running through that list shows where the brand has focused for most of its life: robots built for shedding animals.
What every bot promises
The models page sums up the brand's approach in five short claims about what its robots do:
- Prioritize Privacy. "Never share images. Your home; your business."
- Multitask. "Vacuum, sweep, and mop simultaneously."
- Map and Navigate. "Steer clear of stairs, furniture, and other obstacles."
- Follow Commands. "Powered by the app that customizes maps and behavior."
- Check Their Work. "Monitor internal parts and software."
The bObsweep app, on the App Store and Google Play, lets an owner target messes with Quick Clean, save up to 3 maps for a home with several floors, draw NoSweep and NoMop zones, and schedule cleanings.
Warranty, coverage and support
Here the brand is specific. Every bObsweep bought from an authorized seller comes with a 2-year limited warranty on non-consumable parts and labor (the page notes a 1-year warranty for select models), a 5-year subsidized repair plan that partially covers non-consumable parts, and a "Lifetime of Customer Service," "Provided regardless of warranty status." The About page repeats the promise: "Even after your warranty has expired, we will continue to support your bot for a lifetime." It adds that the brand provides "all the instructional tools you need to operate, maintain, and repair your bot on your own," and the site has owner's manuals, product support and an FAQ.
On top of that, four paid coverage plans extend the warranty:
- Rejuvenation Kit, starting at $24.99: a pack of consumable parts such as filters and brushes that the warranty does not cover.
- Checkup Plan, starting at $69.99: extra coverage on consumable parts, labor and shipping.
- Replacement Plan, starting at $129.99: up to 2 replacements for 2 years from the purchase date.
- Master Plan, starting at $249.99: the "Platinum Tier," combining the three above.
Parts and accessories are sold in their own shop section, and the site lists its authorized sellers along with a retailer finder, so the warranty applies whether a buyer orders direct or from a listed store.
The caveats
The home page and models page lean on taglines rather than numbers, and the detailed specs sit in the compare tool, which the brand invites buyers to use to "Dig into the nitty-gritty and compare specs across each model." The warranty is tied to buying from an authorized seller, which matters for anyone tempted by a marketplace listing. Neither point undercuts the brand; they simply mean the buying decision runs through the compare page and the seller list.
Who bObsweep suits
bObsweep suits pet owners first: the PetHair heritage, the Pet and Pet Combo models and the tangle-free main brush all point that way. It suits buyers who want a long relationship with the maker, with lifetime customer service, a subsidized repair plan and paid plans that cover consumables or a replacement. It suits the privacy-minded household that likes a brand stating "Never share images" up front, and the eco-minded one that wants a robot in bio-balanced plastic.
It suits less well a shopper who compares robots purely on headline specs, since bObsweep sells its range on personality, support and pet focus rather than on a spec table.
