What MyGenie is
MyGenie is an Australian home appliance brand that sells robot vacuums, cordless stick vacuums, handheld vacuums and air treatment products through its own Shopify store, Mygenieshop. Every product page carries the same line, Australian Owned, est. 2010, with 1M+ sold. The home page expands on it with "15 years in business, est. 2010. We stand behind every product we sell." Its pitch is plain and price led: LIDAR laser mapping, AI obstacle avoidance and powerful suction, sold as "premium tech at an accessible price" and aimed at "Australian families who want smart cleaning without the premium price tag." Beyond its own shop, the home page lists six major retailers that stock the brand: Myer, Kogan, Bunnings, Spotlight, Kmart and Harris Scarfe.
The range
The vacuums collection runs across two pages and mixes robots with stick, handheld and canister vacuums. Almost everything is shown as a sale price against a much higher regular price, and a large share of the tiles are marked sold out, so the live range at any moment is narrower than the full list.
At the bottom of the robot range sit gyroscope-guided vacuum and mop combos. The ZX3000 Robot Vacuum & Mop, with "Gyroscopic Mapping" and HEPA in its title, was listed at $189.00 AUD against a regular $349.00 AUD. The Hydraclean Robot Vacuum & Mop, listed at $279.95 AUD (regular $599.00 AUD), is the most fully documented of these. Its product page describes a brushless motor with 3200pa of suction, dual side brushes and a central roller brush, a 450ml dust bin and a 250ml water tank, operation under 65dB, gyroscopic navigation, a 3200mAh battery giving up to 2 hours of runtime, a "basic app" for suction, schedules and direction, and a 75mm low-profile body.
The XSonic family covers the connected wet and dry models. The Xsonic V5 Max Hydro 3-in-1 Robot Vacuum & Mop, at $299.95 AUD (regular $499.00 AUD), adds WiFi app control for iOS and Android, "active electronic water control" that manages mopping flow to help prevent over-wetting, scheduled cleaning, automatic self-charging and a slim body meant to pass under beds, sofas and cabinets. Its box holds the robot, a charging station, a power adaptor and a manual. The collection also lists the XSonic Pro Wi-Fi at $249.95 AUD. The XSonic Wi-Fi H20, another robot vacuum and mop model with HEPA, is listed at $524.95 AUD.
Laser navigation starts surprisingly low. The Raptor Laser Robot Vacuum, the home page's Staff Pick, was listed at $199.00 AUD against $699.00 AUD (Save 71%). Its page describes LIGHTSTREAM LIDAR laser mapping that builds a real-time floor plan, a 3-in-1 system that sweeps, vacuums and mops, 5000Pa suction, a WiFi app for schedules, no-go zones, suction and return to dock, and a 90min runtime battery with auto-recharge. The Laser Sonic AI Robot Vacuum & Mop, at $249.95 AUD (regular $799.00 AUD), pairs LIDAR laser navigation and the "LIGHTSTREAM™ Navigation System" with 4000pa suction, a 3200mAh battery, 3-in-1 cleaning, and control through the app or an included remote.
At the top are the dock models. The Laser Smart IQ720+ Robot Vacuum + LiDAR Tower Dock ($349.00 AUD, regular $899.00 AUD), the Laser IQ360 Turbo+ Robot Vacuum & Mop with a LiDAR Tower Dock ($349.00 AUD, regular $1,799.00 AUD), the IQ1000 Self-Empty Robot Vacuum + LiDAR Tower Dock ($449.00 AUD) and the Turbo Clean Self Empty Robotic Vacuum Cleaner ($599.95 AUD) are the self-emptying end of the catalog. Other listings include the V-MAX 3000 with VSLAM mapping and the OPtiX XR600 with "Lightstream Mapping". The Vortex 3-in-1 Slim 80mm Robot Vacuum & Mop is rated at 2500Pa.
What the steps buy is fairly clear from the titles. Gyroscopic models clean in efficient paths without a map; the Raptor and Laser Sonic AI add a LiDAR map with no-go zones; the tower dock models add a base that empties the robot for you.
The rest of the catalog
MyGenie is a floor care brand as much as a robot brand. The same collection sells cordless stick vacuums and mops (H20 PRO, Fusion Pro H20, Monster Pro, X-Lite HYDRA Glide Pro, Sentinel AI Pro), the Zeus Cordless Wet & Dry Floor Cleaner with voice prompts and an LCD, the Tornado Pro V2.0 handheld vacuum and blower rated at 15kPa, a Vortex canister vacuum, and bundles pairing a robot with the X5 stick vacuum. A household can put a robot on the daily run and a stick or wet floor cleaner on spills from one brand.
Buying, returns and warranty
The store's own terms are unusually easy to find. The home page and every product page promise free shipping Australia-wide on all orders with "no minimum spend, no fine print", and a 30-day return window: "Not the right fit? Return it within 30 days, no questions asked." Checkout takes Visa, Mastercard and Google Pay. The Xsonic V5 Max Hydro page lists a "12-month warranty: backed by MyGenie". The site also carries a Manuals section and a page on cyber security standards, relevant for WiFi robots that connect to a home network.
The home page sets out the ownership routine in 3 steps: set the dock against a wall and let the robot map the home on its first run, use the app to pick rooms, set no-go zones and schedule daily cleans, then come home to a robot that has vacuumed, mopped and returned to its dock, with the bin to empty regularly.
Discounts and stock
The discounts are steep and constant. The Raptor's $199.00 sale price sits against a $699.00 regular price. On the tower dock model the gap is wider still: the Laser IQ360 Turbo+ shows $349.00 against $1,799.00. Budget around the sale price rather than the regular one. Stock is the bigger issue. Many robots on the collection page, including the tower dock models, were marked sold out, so the machine you want may not be available on the day. The 12-month warranty appears on the Xsonic V5 Max Hydro page, and buyers of other models should read their own product page for the terms that apply. Figures such as suction, battery and bin size are printed on some product pages and not others, so comparisons across the range take some clicking.
Who it suits
MyGenie suits Australian buyers who want a robot vacuum and mop in one machine at a low price, and who value a local brand stocked at Myer, Kmart and Bunnings with free delivery and a 30-day return window. A small flat with hard floors is well served by the Hydraclean or the Xsonic V5 Max Hydro, both slim enough to pass under furniture. A larger home with pets and several rooms gets more from the Raptor or Laser Sonic AI, where the LiDAR map and no-go zones matter, or from a tower dock model when one is in stock. Buyers who want a long spec sheet and a multi-year warranty will find the brand's pitch sits closer to value than to depth.
