WAP

WAP is a cleaning equipment and appliance brand whose robot vacuum page describes it as "uma marca brasileira com mais de 30 anos no mercado de equipamentos de limpeza" (a Brazilian brand with more than 30 years in the cleaning equipment market). The top of its store announces it as "Patrocinadora oficial do Flamengo" (official sponsor of Flamengo), and its home page calls the business "Soluções completas para cuidar da sua casa", complete solutions for looking after your home. The catalog is wide: vacuums of every kind, carpet extractors, pressure washers, steam cleaners, mops, fans, humidifiers, kitchen appliances, beauty products, security cameras, power tools, gardening kit and cleaning chemicals. Robot vacuums sit under the vacuum section as the Robot WAP line, with 13 products in the category ("13 produtos encontrados"). Prices are in reais, and the category's price filter runs from R$ 479,00 to R$ 1.480,00.

The range

WAP's own buying guide on the category page splits the Robot WAP line into four groups, and explains that "A diferença entre os modelos está no nível de tecnologia de navegação, nos recursos extras e no grau de autonomia": the difference between the models lies in navigation technology, extra features and the level of autonomy.

Entry models: Robot W90, W90 Pérola, W100 and W100C. The guide calls the W90 Pérola and W100 "os pontos de entrada da linha", the entry points, suited to keeping floors clean day to day "em apartamentos menores com piso frio e layout mais simples" (in smaller apartments with hard floors and simpler layouts), and the right choice for anyone who wants to try automated cleaning without a big outlay. In the listing, the Robot W100 showed R$ 556,05 against R$ 899,90 (-34%), or R$ 597,90 in up to 10 installments of R$ 59,79. The Robot W90 showed R$ 557,91 by Pix, or R$ 599,90 in up to 10 installments of R$ 59,99. The Robot W95 is also listed.

Mid-range: Robot W300, W310 and W400. These form "a faixa intermediária", with more navigation capacity in complex rooms, better performance on low-pile rugs and more efficient coverage in homes with several rooms. The W310 is "um dos modelos mais procurados da linha" (one of the most sought-after models), and it "já inclui a função passa pano integrada", the built-in mopping function. It was listed at R$ 1.208,91 by Pix or R$ 1.299,90 in up to 10 installments of R$ 129,99. The Robot W200 sits nearby at R$ 743,91, or R$ 799,90 in up to 10 installments of R$ 79,99.

App-controlled: Robot W1000 and W3000. These are "os modelos mais avançados da linha em tecnologia de mapeamento e conectividade". The guide lists control through the WAP Connect app, zone programming, restricted areas, compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant, and laser and gyroscope navigation sensors, for larger homes with several rooms, rugs and cleaning routines that need customizing. The W3000 is "o robô aspirador de pó inteligente mais completo da linha WAP, com navegação LDS de 360° e mapeamento em tempo real de até cinco andares" (the most complete robot in the line, with 360° LDS navigation and real-time mapping of up to five floors). The W1000 was listed at R$ 1.720,41 by Pix or R$ 1.849,90 in up to 10 installments of R$ 184,99.

Self-emptying: Robot W4000. The Robô Aspirador Autolimpante Wap Robot W4000 is "o único modelo da linha com base autolimpante", the only model with a self-emptying base. Where the other robots need their collector emptied after each cycle, the W4000 empties it into the base with no manual step, which the page says removes one of the most frequent maintenance jobs in homes with pets that shed. WAP pitches it at buyers who want "praticamente esquecer que ela precisa acontecer", to practically forget that cleaning needs to happen.

The listing also includes the ROBOT W3100 CYCLONE, and several models were marked "Indisponível" (unavailable) in the listing, so stock varies.

Mopping, maps and safety

The page explains when mopping is worth having: the mop pass removes "marcas finas, resíduos leves e a película de sujeira" (fine marks, light residue and the film of dirt) that suction leaves on porcelain and ceramic floors. The W310, W1000 and W3000 have "tanque de água inteligente que controla a umidade liberada durante a passagem do MOP, evitando encharcar o piso", a smart water tank that controls how much water is released so the floor is not soaked.

The FAQ adds more. Low-pile rugs work with most models, while high-pile rugs can make navigation harder and cut suction on entry models, so thicker rugs call for the intermediate and advanced robots. Robots without mapping move randomly until the room is covered, while mapped robots plan optimized routes and finish faster. On stairs, WAP says every Robot WAP model has anti-fall sensors, and some models allow virtual barriers in the app. For upkeep, it advises emptying the collector every one or two cycles, cleaning the filters weekly and replacing them as the manufacturer recommends. The filters on the category page include HEPA, washable cloth, foam and washable mesh, and rated power runs from 17 W to 48 W, with Bivolt chargers.

Support and buying

Support is WAP's main argument. The robot page says the brand has an authorized technical assistance network across Brazil, WhatsApp service, and a support center open "24 horas por dia, todos os dias da semana, inclusive feriados" (24 hours a day, every day, including holidays). The footer gives the number (41) 3012-7272 and links pages to find a service center, manuals and warranties (Manuais e garantias), exchanges and returns, the right of withdrawal, delivery policy and where to buy. The home page offers "Parcelas até 10x sem juros" (up to 10 interest-free installments) and "7% de desconto no PIX". WAP also sells vertical and portable vacuums to handle stairs, upholstery and corners alongside a robot.

Who it suits

WAP suits Brazilian households that want a robot from a local brand with national after-sales support, rather than an imported machine without it. A small flat with hard floors is covered by the W90 or W100. A mid-sized home with several rooms and low rugs should look at the W310, which adds mopping. Buyers who want app control, zones and maps across several floors have the W1000 and W3000, and pet owners who want the least maintenance should take the self-emptying W4000. Buyers outside Brazil will find the store built only for the Brazilian market.
